Wednesday night, after battling with a brain tumor for about 5 years, Paul Martin Hadrill, a.k.a. DJ Skitz, passed away in his sleep surrounded by family. My condolences to each and everyone of them and i think i speak for everyone on this board that he will be sorely missed.

I was very, very sad to hear this. He didn't know me at all, but I listened to his shows regularly and they bought me a great deal of enjoyment.

He will be greatly missed by me and many others I am sure...

Aww man, Just logged on and seen this. I knew he was ill but this is truley tragic. Skitz will be very much missed and I'm pleased I've met him at the BIT events. RIP pal.

Very sad news. My condolences are with his family and friends.

Slay radio and Skitz have been such an integral part of my life for such a long time. They have meant so much to be and carried me through thick and thin. I’m sure his family will be proud that his music and personality touched so many people.

It certainly helped me. Thank you Slay radio and thank you Skitz.

We have lost a great composer for the Commodore 64 Remix Scene! I have been listening to Slay Radio for over 10 years now. I am sadden by this tragedy and I will always have his family in my prayers! Love Ya DJ Skitz! :)

A month after the news, I log in SLAY radio for...well...just fun and good music...to be completely abashed by this!

I don't participate in the IRC chat or forums, I'm just a regular listener, and, nonetheless, I feel the loss like if it was a member of my very own family.

For what it's worth, I'd like to express the warmest feelings to all those who knew Paul "for real", his friends, his family, and assure them that music has indeed this magical power : it links people together, and to the author. In a strong way. And the weird thing is... as I don't have friends in real life who listen to SLAY radio, I can't express correctly how the news was a total shock. (what is a web radio, how I've been listening to it everyday for years, how Paul's tune were excellent etc)

I don't believe in afterlife, but I know for sure that Paul's music will remain with us, like little gold nuggets, and if there is "something out there", I'd like to send him some positive vibes and a warm embrace.

Note: I don't consider myself oversensitive but I'm just crying while typing this.

Oh fucking wow. :( I've not been around slayradio for a while (been listening since, what? '98?), and just heard about this from my step-daughter. I feel a pit in my stomach right now. This planet is a little less awesome now for want of DJ Skitz.

Wow; 2 years have already passed since DJ Skitz left us. I still remember the feeling of being punched in the gut when reading this news; recalling how I heard a few of his shows, put a couple on the backburner and figured "Hey, I'll hop in on another some time in the future", only to face later that there would be no more DJ Skitz.
I hope his family have had time and opportunity to heal their wounds; I do believe he's sorely missed by many still..
